Our Story
Iamfine was created by brothers Colin and Paul Hammond to help them keep in touch with their mother Isobel, who lives alone in Florida. With Colin in the UK and Paul on the west coast of America, they wanted a simple way to ensure their mother was okay every day without being intrusive.
Isobel, now 99 years old, remains fiercely independent and still lives alone. Though she retired her golf clubs a few years ago, she continues to use Iamfine every single day. The brothers designed Iamfine to support her independence while providing daily reassurance to the family. The automated system calls at a time she chooses, and she simply presses "1" to confirm she's fine.
What started as a solution for one family quickly grew. As Paul notes, "8 out of 10 people who try the system go on to subscribe. It feels good to be building a real solution that brings daily value to those that live alone." Today, Iamfine has grown rapidly, delivering daily reassurance to tens of thousands of users.
Both brothers bring decades of technology expertise to Iamfine. Paul and Colin have been in IT since the 1980s, with successful track records building and scaling companies. Paul specializes in VOIP telephony systems, while Colin brings software architecture and business leadership experience. Their combined expertise ensures Iamfine operates with enterprise-level reliability while remaining simple enough for anyone to use.
