Daily Calls for Seniors Living Alone
What are daily calls for seniors living alone?
Daily calls for seniors living alone are automated safety check-in services that contact elderly individuals once or twice daily. If a senior doesn't respond after multiple attempts, their family members (Care Circle) receive immediate alerts. This ensures someone knows if your loved one needs help, without intrusive 24/7 monitoring.
How do daily calls help seniors living alone safely?
Daily calls provide early detection of emergencies like falls, strokes, or medical issues. If a senior living alone can't respond to the daily call (after 6 attempts over an hour), family is alerted within 1-2 hours - not days or weeks later. This quick response time can literally save lives while allowing seniors to maintain their independence.
Are daily calls for seniors living alone expensive?
No. Iamfine charges just $14.99/month or $120/year for daily calls - a fraction of the cost of assisted living ($4,000-6,000/month) or medical alert systems ($30-60/month). There are no setup fees, equipment costs, or contracts. It's the most affordable safety solution for elderly people living independently.
Do seniors need special equipment for daily calls?
No equipment needed! Daily calls work with any phone seniors already have - landline, cell phone, or smartphone. There's nothing to wear, charge, or remember. If they can answer their phone and press "1", they can use daily calls.

Daily Use
What if I'm in the shower when you call?
No problem! We'll automatically call back 5 more times over the next hour. You can also call us back at 731-506-1000 or text "OK" to the same number anytime to check in.
What number will the call come from?
Calls come from 731-506-1000. The caller ID will show "IAMFINE" or our phone number. We recommend saving this number in your contacts so you always recognize our calls.
Can I change my call time?
Yes! You can change your call time anytime through your account dashboard. Changes take effect the next day. You can also set different times for different days of the week.
What if I'm traveling?
You have several options: 1) Keep your service active and check in from wherever you are, 2) Use vacation mode to pause service while you're away, or 3) Check in early via text or web before traveling each day.
What if I accidentally miss checking in?
Don't worry! You can call us back at 731-506-1000 or text "OK" even after your Care Circle has been notified. Just let them know you're okay. This happens to everyone occasionally.
What happens if I don't check in?
We follow a multi-step process: First, we'll try calling you 5 more times over the next hour. After one hour, we alert your Care Circle via email (always), SMS and phone calls (if configured). Your Care Circle can then investigate and even check you in on your behalf if they confirm you're okay. If you remain unresponsive for 24 hours, we'll call once per day for 10 days, then pause until you log in again.
Can I check in early?
Absolutely! Most of our users do. You can text "OK" to 731-506-1000, call that number, or check in through your web dashboard anytime before your scheduled call. If you check in early, we won't call you that day.
If I login to the website, will I be checked in for the day?
Yes! Logging into the website automatically checks you in for the day. You won't receive a call until the following day (unless you have two calls per day scheduled).
Can I have Iamfine check on me twice a day?
Yes! You can set up two daily check-in calls at no additional cost. Simply configure one morning call and one afternoon call through your account settings by clicking "edit" and selecting two check-ins. You can switch between one and two calls anytime.
What if I'm OK but want someone from my Care Circle to contact me?
During your phone check-in (either when responding to the daily call or calling us), you can press the number corresponding to a specific Care Circle member (for example, press "2" for the second person on your list). They'll receive an email and SMS/text message prompting them to contact you. This is perfect when you need someone to call you but it's not an emergency.
Can I customize the daily call prompt?
Yes! You can personalize your check-in message through your profile's "additional settings". Type any custom message you want to hear during check-in calls. This message also plays when you call or text to check in. Many users add reminders like "remember to take the red pill today" or other important daily tasks.
What happens on holidays?
The service runs 365 days a year, including holidays. You can adjust your schedule or use vacation mode if you have different plans on holidays.
Can I have different call times on different days?
Yes! You can set different call times for each day of the week. For example, 9 AM on weekdays and 10 AM on weekends.
Can I pause the service while I'm traveling?
Yes! You can set vacation mode through your account. Log in to the website, visit the "manage vacations" section, and set your vacation start date and duration. We'll email your Care Circle about your vacation and pause the service until you return.
How do I check in each day?
You have four ways to check in: 1) Press "1" when we call you at your scheduled time, 2) Call us at 731-506-1000 (USA) or 01887-451000 (UK) from your registered phone, 3) Text "OK" to the check-in number from your registered or alternate phone, or 4) Log into the Iamfine website.
If I miss a call, how can I check in?
Three easy ways: 1) Call 731-506-1000 (USA/Canada) or 01887-451000 (UK) and wait for the system to recognize your caller ID, 2) Visit www.Iamfine.com and sign into your account, or 3) Send "OK" via text message to the check-in phone numbers.
Technical Questions
Does it work with cell phones?
Yes! Iamfine works with any phone - landline, cell phone, or VoIP. As long as you can receive calls and press buttons, you're good to go.
What if my phone service is down?

Does it work internationally?
Iamfine currently serves customers in the USA, Canada, and United Kingdom. Your Care Circle members can be anywhere in the world and will receive notifications.
What if I have a hearing problem?
Our calls are clear and loud, but if you have difficulty hearing, you can use our text check-in option (text "OK" to 731-506-1000) or web check-in instead of answering calls.
Can I use a speakerphone?
Yes! You can answer on speakerphone and press "1" on your phone's keypad. The call works the same way whether you use the handset or speaker.
Can I use multiple phone numbers?
You can register a second phone number that you can use to dial in for early check-ins. However, our outbound calls will only be made to your primary registered phone number.
What if I change my phone number?
Simply update your phone number in your account dashboard. The change takes effect immediately for your next check-in.
Does it work with VoIP services like Skype?
Yes, as long as your VoIP service can receive regular phone calls and you can press buttons during the call, it will work fine.

Service Comparisons & Safety Planning
Is Iamfine a welfare check service for elderly loved ones?
Yes, Iamfine functions as a proactive daily welfare check service for elderly people living alone. Unlike reactive police welfare checks that only happen after someone reports concern, our automated phone check-in service calls your loved one every day at their chosen time. If they don't respond after multiple attempts over an hour, their Care Circle (family and friends) is immediately alerted. This ensures someone knows within hours if there's a problem — not days or weeks later.
How does the phone check-in service for seniors work?
Our phone check-in service for seniors is simple and requires no technology skills. Each day at your chosen time, you receive an automated call. Just answer and press "1" to confirm you're okay. That's it — no apps to download, no buttons to wear, no equipment to maintain. If you're away from your phone, we'll call back 5 more times over the next hour. You can also check in early by calling us, texting "OK," or logging into the website. Your Care Circle is only notified if you don't respond.
Is Iamfine an alternative to Life Alert or medical alert systems?
Iamfine serves a different but complementary purpose to Life Alert and other medical alert systems. Medical alerts ($30-70/month) let seniors press a button during emergencies to get immediate help. Iamfine ($14.99/month) provides daily wellness monitoring — catching problems before they become emergencies. Many families use BOTH: Iamfine for daily peace of mind confirmation, and a medical alert for emergency response. Together they create complete 24/7 coverage at a fraction of assisted living costs.
Does Iamfine have a check-in app for monitoring elderly parents?
We intentionally don't require a smartphone app. Why? Because seniors reliably answer phone calls but often ignore app notifications, forget passwords, or struggle with touchscreens. Our phone-based approach works with any landline or cell phone your parent already knows how to use. They just answer and press "1" — the same technology they've used for decades. For families, we do offer a web dashboard to manage settings and view check-in history.
How does Iamfine help with long distance caregiving?
Long distance caregiving is stressful because you can't check on your loved one in person. Iamfine bridges that gap by providing daily confirmation that your elderly parent or relative is okay. If they don't respond to their check-in call after multiple attempts, you'll receive an alert within about an hour via your preferred method (email, SMS, or phone call). This lets you take action immediately — calling neighbors, contacting local services, or even requesting a police welfare check if needed.
How does Iamfine fit into a senior living alone safety plan?
A comprehensive safety plan for seniors living alone typically includes: home modifications (grab bars, good lighting), fall prevention measures, medication management, emergency contacts, and daily wellness monitoring. Iamfine handles the daily wellness check component — ensuring someone knows every single day that your loved one is okay. It works alongside other safety measures like medical alert devices, smart home sensors, and regular family check-ins to create multiple layers of protection.
What happens if an elderly person falls and lives alone?
Falls are the leading cause of injury for seniors, and the longer someone lies on the floor, the worse the outcome. With Iamfine, if your loved one falls and can't reach their phone, they'll miss their daily check-in call. After we attempt to reach them 6 times over an hour, your Care Circle is immediately alerted. Family can then check on them or coordinate emergency response — potentially finding them within 1-2 hours instead of days later. For active falls, we recommend pairing Iamfine with a medical alert pendant for immediate 911 response.
What aging in place technology does Iamfine provide?
Iamfine takes a deliberately low-tech approach to aging in place support. Rather than complex smart home systems requiring installation, WiFi, and troubleshooting, we use the most reliable technology seniors already have: their phone. Our automated daily call system works with any phone (landline or mobile), requires no equipment, and doesn't depend on internet connectivity. This high-reliability, simple approach means seniors can age in place independently while families maintain peace of mind without technology frustrations.
Safety & Privacy
Is this a replacement for 911?
No! Iamfine is NOT an emergency response system. In any emergency, always call 911 immediately. We're a daily wellness check service that alerts your Care Circle if you don't respond to check-ins.
How is my privacy protected?
We take privacy seriously. We don't track your location, monitor your activities, or share your information with third parties. We only contact you for your daily check-in and only alert your Care Circle if you don't respond.
Who can be in my Care Circle?
Anyone you trust! Most people choose family members, but you can also include friends, neighbors, caregivers, or anyone else. You can have up to 8 people in your Care Circle.
How do I add someone to my Care Circle?
Click "Manage carecircle" on the Iamfine website. You can invite family and friends by entering their email addresses. Each person receives an email invitation that requires confirmation. Once they accept, they'll receive notifications if you don't check in. You can add up to 8 people to your Care Circle.
Can Care Circle members be outside the US?
Yes! Your Care Circle members can be anywhere in the world. We'll send them notifications via email and/or SMS based on their preferences.
Will the service only contact my Care Circle if I don't check in?
The system will ALWAYS send an alert when you fail to check in - these mandatory late check-in alerts cannot be disabled. However, Care Circle members can optionally choose to receive daily "all is well" emails when you successfully check in. Members can turn these daily wellness updates on or off based on their preference, but the missed check-in alerts are always sent.
What information does my Care Circle receive?
If you don't check in, your Care Circle receives an alert with your name, the fact that you didn't respond to your check-in, and any special instructions you've provided (like your address or health conditions).
Is my data secure?
Yes. All data is encrypted and stored securely. We follow industry best practices for data security and never sell or share your personal information.
